The MAZ-537 is a military truck artillery tractor powered by a 12-cylinder diesel engine, originally designed to carry loads up to 50 tons with semitrailers like the ChMZAP-9990 or ChMZAP-5247G. Later versions were capable of handling up to 65 tons. Manufactured by the Minsk Automobile Plant from 1959 to 1965 and the Kurgan Wheel Tractor Plant from 1963 until production ceased in 1990, the MAZ-537 was a crucial vehicle for heavy transport in military operations.
